The Plan
A.
Bring River Restoration, a river engineering company behind many successful whitewater parks, to Bardstown to design the Beech Fork in-stream feature.
B.
Raise funds from private and corporate sponsors in the local industry to meet the costs of constructing the in-stream whitewater feature.
- Amount pledged of $371,600 cost to build 5%
C.
Put Bardstown on the map for outdoor recreation by constructing the whitewater park on the Beech Fork at the site of the rubble dam, creating a one-of-a-kind paddling destination, a first for Kentucky.
