Meeting with City engineer

Posted by Spalding Hurst

September 24, 2018

I met with Larry today at City Hall. We discussed the modifications the City has been making to the rubble dam over the last couple of years on the Beech Fork River. He told me about the concerns the City would have with opening their river access to the public. We also discussed ways in which some simple modifications could create a recreational surf wave in the channel. During the next dry stretch, they will send in a bulldozer to attempt to level out the main channel.
