We are encouraging you to bring your canoe, kayak, paddleboard, and participate with the Mayor Fischer, five metro council members and hundreds of local paddlers as they explore Beargrass Creek.

You can put your boat in at the rowing docks, and paddle on down to the waterfront. There is a festival from 8:30 am to 10 am. At 10 am,  paddlers will head upstream on the Ohio River to the confluence with Beargrass Creek. The group travels up Beargrass Creek to the MSD Beargrass Pumping Station. You can continue up the creek to the “Debugging site” and the largest section of the Beargrass Creek Canal from the mid 1800’s or get out and take a tour of the 2nd largest flood pumping station in the world.

We are encouraging you and your friends to come paddling,   we want to demonstrate the support for cleaning up Beargrass Creek.   The May 30th Hike Bike and Paddle will be the largest number of paddlers on Beargrass Creek in many years.    We hope you can join us.
