10 Years of the Paddle Pickup

On Saturday, May 10 the Bardstown Boaters will gather volunteers to get down and dirty by removing trash from the Beech Fork River. This marks the 10th year of the Paddle Pickup, an event that is important part of an ongoing effort to improve the quality of local waterways.

Volunteers will meet at the Bethlehem High School parking lot at 8:30 AM for a short orientation, and then travel to the river location to get the event underway. Volunteers are encouraged to provide their own watercraft if they plan to be part of the “Floating” cleanup crew. “Ground” cleanup crews will also participate by removing trash from the river banks.
