The Bardstown Boaters are currently working with the City of Bardstown to bring a whitewater park to Kentucky at the site of an old rubble dam on the Beech Fork of the Rolling Fork of the Salt River.

The purpose of the project is to restore the invert for municipal use and to enhance whitewater recreation while removing the hazardous conditions that currently exist. During reconnaissance evaluation, significant erosion of the right bank was surveyed.
